Take Back Control
Many of us are feeling out of control right now, unable to plan for the immediate future, not knowing whether we will be returning to our old routines or continuing in the more isolated environments of the past few months. It feels like we are the leaves being blown about rather than the wind itself. There are things to do to feel more in control.
Meditate each morning by breathing in and out through the nose for at least five minutes. Notice how relaxed you begin to feel almost immediately.
Call a friend and share the feeling of being out of control/scared/anxious. This is a time when we need our friends more than ever. By sharing these feelings, their power over you will subside. You will also be giving someone else the freedom to share their worries and fear.
Get into nature. Nothing brings you closer to yourself than being in the outdoors. The lessons are all around you. You are part of something larger than your challenges of the moment.
Move. The mind can wreak havoc. Let your body take over. Walk, run, dance, bike, surf whatever! You will feel calmer and more reinvigorated before you know it.
Attend a Gathering for an hour of meditation, writing, music and the support of amazing women. Nora's meditations are soothing and inspiring and you will leave feeling incredible! We have added a weekday Gathering at your request in addition to our Sundays.
